I know I’m years late to this video but a bit confused on Weekly vs Dailies. In your Dailies chapter of the video, you’re showing a bunch of weekly spreads. Is weekly and daily an interchangeable term for the same spread or am I missing/misunderstanding something?

Our society is especially bad at encouraging men to reflect on their mental and emotional state, so it's nice to see a system trying to ease someone into that kind of self-reflection while not smothering you with the motivational fluff that's often targeted towards women. I'm generally not a fan of unnecessary gendering, but if this gets more guys into healthy journaling practices, I'd say that's more valuable. Now if only there were a journal to help your dogs through their unease at being in a new place! 😂

Oxblood is one of my favorite inks! Great choice. Emerald of Chivor is also and amazing ink.

I'm disappointed with the paper quality here. Does it tell you the GSM? I have started to track my sleep in minutes. 167 minutes sounds so much better than 2 hours 47! Hope you had a good holiday😊

I bought the book a few years ago, even did the set up once, but then never used it! Determined to try again. My brain has trouble diferenciating between Tasks & Events. I don't know why ☹️ Like if i have to go to the drs.. its something I have to do, so is it a task or an event? Also watching this after not looking at any bujo stuff for a long time, I'm confused about migrating and whether back or forward. You say migrate back to the future, so if i dont get it done this month i need to migrate back to the next month... But you also say if i dont get something done today, i need to migrate it forward to tomorrow? At least i think thats what you said? So how is the future both back & forward? 🤔

I really liked the "Rate Your Week" section. I've been tracking my moods, but, honestly, I find myself asking 'WHY???' since I'm mostly happy or content on a daily basis so that means my mood tracker is almost always the same 2 colors! LOL I might just incorporate this section into my journal instead. Thank you for sharing!

When I write in my notebook I don't like When my old pen gets really inkling so I Switched to my new pen it's FRIXION pen it's the best pen ever and it doesn't ghost on the paper 📓🖋✔️

May have already been mentioned but when you add “send TY notes” to your Feb future log you could add the date or page number where the list is located. Ex: Send TY notes (see 1/1)

I am curious about whether you have followed any of Ali Abdaal’s work here on UA-cam. He has been focused on providing easy to digest meta analysis summaries about research regarding “productivity.” I use quotations because it is much bigger than what many folx perceive it to be. ✒️Mhtirogla🖋️

I will fully admit, the folio is my favourite thing. You're right, it is more feminine, so design wise it wouldn't appeal to everyone. I don't put a notebook into it, I've been using it to put in the stationery I plan to use for set up for the next month. So the marker palette I've gone with, washi if there is any, and I have a small sticker book. So I pre-cut any PET or washi image tapes and put them in there so I just have everything. This means I have a cleaner desk and I can take it places if I want to do set up outside of my home.

i absolutely LOVE writing with this pen. i have never had a fountain pen before and its my favorite thing to write with now it just feels so nice

Have been wondering about this for a while, love the idea of the duo! Did you ever test it with any shimmer ink as I have several by Ferris Wheel and if they worked? If so this would probably seal the deal into getting one!

might be helpful as a satellite notebook: little black book (of contacts), habit tracker, or a formal event or project area, or a place where inventors, comedians, and such keep track of their ideas. I could use something like this for my elective activities. But I think as a redundancy to the main journal, that would get cumbersome for indexing.

This subscription box frustrates me! The B5 ruler does not fit in the folio! The inside design of the folio is not very well thought out! The dual tip pens don’t fit in when the washi tape is placed in there! Aaarrrrggggh! And yes @markyourpages, I agree, the folio needed the aesthetic of the stationery on the boxes. I’m really torn whether I like this box or not.

I’d love to try an architect’s nib or a fude nib one day. I want to try drawing with these nibs and also practice architectural hand lettering. It looks cool!

I picked up a semi flex and an architect nib with my pocket pen and am thrilled. This pen feels substancial and is a bit longer than my other pocket pens when posted which gives it a special place in my collection. I saw they just released a dip pen and am excited hear more about it!

The pen and the nib look awesome, but that purple ink was the winner!

I've been eyeing the Architect nib for ages, but can't seem to find it in any shops around here, so I'm still searching. The inks look great, what paper do you use to make the shimmer appear? I recently bought some shimmer inks but no luck yet with the right paper😅.

I'm the opposite about ink names, I like the more complicated romantic poetic names. It's a great way to get my money. My favourite ink names are Wearingeul's Half Moon with Dimmed Light, or The Autumn Night after a Thousand Years. Love that there are various colour options. If left to my own devices, all my pens would be pink, teal or white! I'd definitely choose a flex nib (even if it's not that flexy). Thanks for the review. Will you be looking at the dip pen next? I'm very fascinated by the new dip pen.

Great video! Those inks are lovely, especially the mallard and the purple. (After watching your last video about the Lumos, I'm worried that the Lumos would be my gateway into inks. 🤣) That Pocket Pen seems nice - I'm a fountain pen noob so I'd be curious to how it compares to something like a Kaweco Sport.

Buy yourself a decent piece of leather, a ring mechanism and save yourself $100 , these plotters are ridiculously overpriced .

Definitely not the aesthetic for me, but I really think it's a clever and well designed box. I love the functional stickers and that amazing folio case! (I do enjoy florals, but I do agree it doesn't fit with this box)

Stop wasting so much water in just one rins, you said this design was created with an ecological view in mind and clean it is not hard if you let it sit in a little water container.

This is not at all the way fountain pens work. They have no absorbent sponge style ink "reservoir". Also fountain pens are the OG refillable pen with interchangeable nibs, and I much prefer writing and sketching with fountain pens. And yes as others mention, if you prefer fine-liner style pens like micron, well microns are in fact refillable. Also, there have been refillable brush pens for ages as well, I have a number of them from Kuretake, Pentel, etc. Don't misunderstand, this looks like a functional and well made pen, but it's quite expensive and not by any means a groundbreaking idea. BTW fountain pen users know that a touch of ammonia in a water soak helps clean out the ink.

Those stamps are so amazing but not as much as your way of using them in combination to create something even more comprehensive! After this video I’m no longer seeing them as a standalone sticker type dealeo, I’m going to try combining them to see what else can achieve (like LEGO blocks)

I’m not procrastinating here, I’m just spacing out in my bed trying to fall asleep. But this is a great idea and maybe I could do that as I always have the feeling that time runs much faster than I can track it.

Those stamps are right up my alley! I am new to journaling and stationary and I am having a blast. I have been wanting to jump into fountain pens but have no clue about them. If you were gifting someone new to the world of fountain pens, ink, paper, and such what would that look like? Any recommendations?

Well, now you've gone and done it! Although I'm a newb, I was already wandering around the fountain pen rabbit warren, dragging my teeny, tiny stamp collection behind me, plus a bottle of Ancient Copper ink. Then this post, which connects all the dots. Yes, the pharmacy stamps are fire, but the pen with the extra-fine flex nib is fiery-er. I had no idea before this post about its existence. Now I can't un-see it. I will have it. Someday. Thanks, Mark. My "no-spend month" is hereby officially in the rear-view mirror. There's always July... TFS (sigh).
